Medium bio, 125 words

Jake Kenning is a product designer in San Diego with over ten years of experience, most recently in fintech. He started shooting film after a friend, while visiting New York, showed him photos from a trip to Iceland on a simple Nikon FM camera. The way film reacts to light felt more lively, and that felt original and grounded in a way his phone wasn't. He spent the next year researching cameras and picked a Fuji GSW690III for its lens quality and the resolution medium format offers. He now shoots travel on film, digital, and video, most recently across Iceland, Norway, Maine and the California coast, and treats travel as the resource he draws on for design work as much as for photography and video.
